Who we are

107ready is an independent study resource for the FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Knowledge Test. We are not affiliated with the FAA or any government agency. The site is provided free of charge as a study tool.

What we collect

Newsletter sign-up

If you sign up for email updates in the footer, we collect your email address, an optional first name, the page you were on when you signed up, a timestamp, and your country (derived from your IP address at the moment of submission). This data is stored in a private Google Sheet accessible only to the site owner. We use it only to notify you when new practice questions or regulation updates are released. We do not sell or share it.

To stop receiving emails, reply to any message we send and ask to be removed. We'll take care of it manually until a formal unsubscribe link is in place.

Analytics (optional, consent-gated)

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand aggregate site usage — which topics people study, how many questions are attempted, that sort of thing. GA is loaded only if you click "Got it, that's fine" on the cookie banner. If you click "No thanks," no GA script loads and no GA cookies are set. We have IP anonymization enabled, so your full IP address is never stored by GA.

Your consent choice ("accepted" or "declined") is saved in your browser's localStorage so the banner doesn't reappear on every visit. Clearing your browser data resets it.

Local storage

Quiz state and your cookie-consent choice are stored in localStorage in your browser. This data stays on your device and is never transmitted to our servers.

Server logs

Our hosting provider, Netlify, keeps standard access logs (IP address, browser, URL, timestamp) as part of normal infrastructure operation. We don't process these logs for analytics purposes. See Netlify's privacy policy for details.

Outbound course links

Some outbound links on our course comparison page go to third-party course providers and may earn us a commission if you enroll. See our Disclosure for details. We do not share any of your personal data with those providers — they only see that a visitor arrived from 107ready (via a UTM tag in the URL).

What we don't do

• No ads
• No third-party tracking pixels or social login
• No selling or renting of your data
• No building of personal profiles

We will update this policy before introducing any of the above.

Children's privacy

The FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate requires applicants to be at least 16 years old. 107ready is not directed at anyone under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13.

International users

107ready is operated from the United States. If you access the site from outside the US, your data (newsletter sign-up information) will be processed in the US.

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes — for example, adding advertising or a new data processor — we'll update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and may notify the newsletter list. Continued use of the site after changes means you accept the updated policy.
